I’ve just been interviewed by Rosa Berland (A US-based art historian and curator) on her blog. She found my work after seeing it featured on another website. A few weeks later, this is the result. For those of you who have not been reading this blog for very long, it will give you a good insight into my Afghanistan documentary photography. I enjoy interviews, as long as the questions are thoughtful and the observations insightful. Thankfully, this was such an occasion and I enjoyed the process very much. The online world has its nuisances, but it is a great way of connecting with people across the world. After all, this is why I started this site and why I keep doing it.
The challenge now is the UK. I won’t promise that I won’t race off to another country in the next 12 months, but this is now my home. I will be shooting landscape, documentary and other work here and have little more idea what I’ll do than you do! I’ll enjoy combing over my Afghanistan archives in the coming years, which may mean some forays back into the darkroom….
